Bryce asked Hillary to marry him on a sunny day in November in downtown Denver. They were surrounded by white roses and romantic candlelight. Shortly after the proposal, they walked around the city and ended up at the Denver Art Museum. We went back to this beautiful place to celebrate their engagement, walk through the galleries and stop by some of their favorite pieces of art.

We walked through the 19th century European Art, stopping at Monet’s Water Lilies, and then over the bridge to the Western American Art in the Martin Building.

Hillary and Bryce met online in 2019 and shared their first date at an Italian restaurant. Hillary shares, “Bryce’s first impression of me was “yes.” He says he had an instant feeling I would be the one. I thought Bryce was a gentleman and a sweetheart. From that moment, we couldn’t stop hanging out with each other!”
I knew Bryce was the one when I observed his acts of benevolence. His good heart led me to see myself raising a family with him in the future. I remember seeing him teach my little brother how to pump gas and I thought to myself, “should I marry him?”

The mountain painting above was a favorite of ours, Estes Park, Longs Peak by Albert Bierstadt.

Hillary shares the full story of the proposal, “It’s actually a long story, with so many thoughtful elements. I went to France with my best friends in the Summer of 2025. I wore a white dress and shared with my friends that I wanted to be proposed to in that white dress. It was in passing, I didn’t think anything of it besides a silly comment.
Bryce told my best friend he was planning to propose when we got back from France, some time that fall. My best friend made a fake invite and made me her plus one to a “tea party” with the intention that I would wear the white dress that I had mentioned in France. I got ready and wore my dress, unprepared for what the day would end up being. My friend was also dressed up in her tea party outfit, there were no suspicions in my mind.
When we walked in together, I expected to see a girly tea party. I ended up turning around to the opposite side of the building because I thought we had accidentally walked into someone’s proposal. I had to do a double take before I realized I was walking into my own proposal.
There Bryce was, surrounded by white roses and candles. I said yes! Right after the proposal we had lunch and a date at our favorite museum, the Denver Art Museum. Bryce then had a second surprise for me during our dinner plans. While we were waiting for our table, I noticed my family was unexpectedly there. Then his entire family came in as well. His whole family and two best friends flew in from out of state to help with the proposal setup. We had a lovely dinner with our closest friends and family. Then we ended up going out to celebrate with drinks. It’s one of my favorite days by far.”

Hillary shares, “We are planning on having our wedding in Colorado! We want an intimate wedding with an elegant Tuscan/Italian style and views of the Rocky Mountains. We envision an outdoor space where we can get sunshine, surrounded by trees, greenery, gardens, and of course views of the mountains. My heritage is Mexican so we want to incorporate Mariachi music into the celebration. We are excited to be surrounded by our favorite people and begin our new lives together.”
Congratulations to the couple!
