Winter Engagement: Congratulations Maddie and Oscar!
March 12, 2025
Hi, I'm jess
Hi ! Welcome to the Jessica Schmitt Photography blog from a Colorado Wedding Photographer. I journal about my couples, photography, life and travels. Stay a while and say hello!
I met Maddie and Oscar in Central Park for a mini winter engagement session. It was cold! But you’d hardly know it. They were both so full of love and joy that nothing could keep them from smiling.
Maddie shares, “Oscar and I met in a small town in Northwest Arkansas called Siloam Springs where we both went to college at John Brown University. We began dating during my 5th year while I was getting my MBA and playing basketball, and Oscar was studying Construction Management while playing soccer. After I graduated, he had one more year of eligibility, so we decided to do long distance for a little bit. After college, I convinced him to move to Denver, which was a big climate change for him considering he is from Costa Rica.
After being together for a couple of years, he proposed at Red Rocks. It was beautiful! In our free time, we enjoy being outdoors, snowboarding, traveling, cooking, trying new things, and being with friends and family.”
